And to end, a little of Jack Cole’s Plastic Man:

Jack Cole (December 14, 1914 – August 13, 1958) was a genius, an absolute genius of American comics. Best known for creating Plastic Man in 1941.

He worked in comics since 1939, assisting Will Eisner in the early ’40s on The Spirit, and ghosting for Eisner during Eisner’s military service in WWII. But it was his creation of Plastic Man that he’ll forever be known for, a wonderful creation of a memorable character, beginning as a backup in Quality’s Police Comics #1 (Aug. 1941) before graduating to the lead with issue #5 and then his own title in 1943.
