This is the latest volume to beautifully and meticulously reproduced lost Brit comics work by one of the absolute masters of comics, Hugo Pratt. Produced for British comics library series, smaller comics with typically two panels per page, these works capture the Italian comics maestro at work just a few years before his creation of Corto Maltese.

This latest volume contains three tales – ‘The Iron Fist‘, of a tank crew in battles from El Alamein to the D-Day landings; ‘The Big Arena’, featuring Australian soldiers fighting in Egypt; and ‘Strongpoint’ featuring sappers in Italy. But of course the big, big draw to these is that each one is produced by Hugo Pratt and each one looks phenomenal.

And with these oversized volumes faithfully reproducing the originals you get to see all the beauty of Pratt’s art here, every mark, every amazing line. Because they’re reproducing the small digest format up to oversized pages, you really get to see it in incredible detail.
