‘Disney Villains: Maleficent’ To Get A Collected Edition In March
by Erik Amaya
Maleficent is getting her due … again!
Dynamite announced Thursday a collected edition of Disney Villains: Maleficent will arrive in March. As executed by writer and artist Soo Lee, with Jeff Eckleberry on letters, the series tells the tale of the Forbidden Woods. Many kings and knights have ventured there to free it of a presumed evil. Just as many have been defeated by the realm’s dark queen, Maleficent. But is she as terrible as she seems? To those within the woods, she is a responsible ruler who, at least, seems to care about her domain.
In addition to Lee’s tale, the collected volume will include a gallery of variant covers, including those by Jae Lee, and clock in at just over 130 pages. Available in both paperback and hardcover, the book will be printed at a digest size — 6 by 9 inches — as an opportunity for younger readers to enjoy Maleficent.
Disney Villains: Maleficent is due out in March.
