‘The Book Of Clarence’ Arrives On Digital To Rent Or Purchase

The biblical comedy The Book of Clarence is making a fast transition from the big screen to your computer screen. The film will make its digital debut less than a month after it opened theatrically.
In 33 A.D. Jerusalem, down-on-his-luck Clarence (LaKeith Stanfield, an Oscar nominee for Judas and the Black Messiah) is struggling to find a better life for his family. When he witnesses the rising popularity of Jesus Christ, he’s inspired to declare himself the new Messiah in order to make a name for himself and erase his debts, much to the chagrin of the Roman rulers.
Written and directed by Jeymes Samuel (The Harder They Fall) and produced by Jay-Z, the film also stars Omar Sy, David Oyelowo, Alfre Woodard, Teyana Taylor, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, James McAvoy, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Special features include a commentary track with Samuel and Stanfield, several featurettes, and a gag reel. The Book of Clarence is available to rent or own from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment starting today.
