FX’s ‘Shogun’ Delivers Epic Final Trailer

Based on the James Clavell novel, FX’s Shogun is set in Japan circa 1600 CE — the dawn of a century-defining civil war. Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him and a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.
The series stars Hiroyuki Sanada (John Wick: Chapter 4), Cosmo Jarvis (Peaky Blinders), and Anna Sawai (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters). Thankfully Shogun appears to have paid more attention to cultural accuracy than previous westernized samurai epics. Japanese culture is at an all time high in the West so I could see this series doing really well.
Shogun will be streaming on Hulu February 27.
