The ‘Fantastic Four’ Film Cast Revealed

Pedro Pascal is going to be fantastic.
Variety reports The Mandalorian star will lead Marvel Studios’ upcoming Fantastic Four film as Reed Richards — aka, Mr. Fantastic. Joining him are Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The quartet will play science adventurers who receive strange powers after exposure to cosmic radiation. Or, at least, we think that will be the premise. Details are under wraps and held secure by TVA agents. We’re not even sure if the film will detail the origins of Marvel’s first family as, well, that material has been covered in previous films featuring the characters.
And thanks to the TVA, it is currently unclear who the Fantastic Four will face. Doom would seem obvious, but considering his cameo in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it is always possible a recast Rama-Tut will be the team’s first antagonist.
WandaVision‘s Matt Shakman will direct the film. Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer are the current screenwriters, but considering Marvel Studios’ development process, another writing team could appear before filming begins this summer.
Speaking of the studio’s process, Fantastic Four is one of four films planned for the 2025 release calendar. The others include Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and Blade. Despite a plan to slow down production and releases, the year will conform to the plan Marvel and Disney set out to create earlier in the decade. Although, to be honest, we fully expect Blade to fall into the 2026 schedule. Then again, that year also has four Marvel films currently slotted for release. This year has just one: Deadpool & Wolverine.
Fantastic Four, meanwhile, is currently set for a July 25th, 2025.
