The Gentlemen has everything I love about Guy Ritchie’s films: stylized editing, slick fashion, and larger-than-life criminals. British aristocrats occupy an interesting space in contemporary culture. They’re a dying breed and need to commit skullduggery to maintain the facade of power. It will be a thrill to see who becomes top dog in this gangster underworld.
The Gentlemen will be streaming on Netflix March 7th 2024.
