‘Crimson Peak’ Among Upcoming Arrow Video 4K Releases, While ‘City of the Living Dead’ Comes To Life On Streaming

Arrow Video has announced an impressive lineup of new titles for release in May.

First up, on May 20th, is Guillermo del Toro‘s lavish 2015 gothic shocker Crimson Peak, starring Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, and Jessica Chastain. The Limited Edition 4K UHD release will include an audio commentary from del Toro, a feature length documentary, deleted scenes, and more. Plus, a double-sided poster, four double-sided postcards, and a limited edition 80-page, hard-bound book.

Next up, Pandemonium arrives on May 27th on Limited Edition Blu-ray. Directed by the enigmatic Quarxx (All the Gods in the Sky), the film presents three interconnected supernatural stories, and the Arrow release includes new interviews, in addition to a reversible sleeve, a double-sided poster, and an illustrated booklet.

Finally in May — but only in the UK — Arrow will release a Limited Edition 4K UHD of the classic 1980 British gangster film The Long Good Friday, starring Bob Hoskins, Helen Mirren, and Paul Freeman (plus an early supporting performance from a young Pierce Brosnan). Extra features include an audio commentary with director John Mackenzie, and a making-of documentary. The film will be packaged with a reversible sleeve, foldout poster, and an illustrated collector’s booklet. A limited edition slipcover featuring original artwork will also be available online at the UK Arrow Store.

Meanwhile, Arrow has also released the March lineup for its streaming service, including a 4K transfer of Lucio Fulci’s zombie classic City of the Living Dead, three films from controversial French filmmaker Jean Rollin (Sidewalks of Bangkok, Countess IXE, and Killing Car), plus exclusive documentaries on maverick British actor Dirk Bogarde (The Servant) and Japanese director Nagisa Oshima (In the Realm of the Senses).
