UniVersus Unleashes Yu Yu Hakusho’s ‘Dark Tournament’

I love a good CCG. That’s a Collectible Card Game for those at home who may not know, and my editor who just looked at his screen while proofing this and said “Is that like D&D?”
I feel like one of the most talented teams in the CCG space is also one of the most unsung, and I really need more of you to pay attention to this company because they are always doing super rad stuff.
What company is that, you ask? Well, it’s UniVersus. From Cowboy BeBop to Trigun, Critical Role to My Hero Academia, they are putting out some of the best card games I have seen in the space in recent years.
Now, their long-awaited Yu Yu Hakusho Dark Tournament is finally here! This exclusive booster series brings back Yusuke and the team, along with a ton of new cards and fighters from the Dark Tournament arc.
These cards are beautiful, with a ton of collector’s items like Secret Rares, Alternate Arts, and the return of the serialized Chrome Rares.
There are also special release events happening at Local Game Stores that will give players a chance to compete for entry into the Wish Tournament, where you can battle for Chrome Rares and make your very own wish!
Included in the box I opened were a ton of beautiful base set cards, as well as a slew of other special card art offerings. The set contains 35 Time Shifted Reprints, 4 Retro Reprints, 6 Secret Rares, and 6 alt art cards that are nothing short of stunning!
Fans of the series, card games, or just really cool art are going to delight at this offering from UniVersus!
