Today marks the 107th anniversary of the Jones–Shafroth Act, signed by Woodrow Wilson on March 2, 1917. The act granted Puerto Ricans United States citizenship, divided their government into Executive, Judicial, and Legislative branches, and endowed Puerto Rico with a Bill of Rights. There’s a thing you know now.
