by Koom Kankesan

Summary

The Toronto Comicon takes place during March 15-17 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

It’s March Break and that must mean it’s time for Comicon in Toronto! The convention — happening today and across the weekend — is the smaller Toronto show (the bigger one is the Fan Expo towards the end of August) and it takes place in the North building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Let’s walk around the floor and look at pictures!

Lots of plushies and other merch for sale:

Fun at the Lego tables:

Some of the TV guests:

In the Artist’s Alley, Aaron Reynolds seemed to have the silliest project for sale — his line of ‘Effin Birds’:

The Artist’s Alley also included some familiar faces such as Jay Stephens:

Geof Isherwood:

and Gerhard and his wife:

Of course, there were plenty of vintage (and not-so-vintage) comics and toys to be seen:

Though there seemed to be few panel discussions happening, there are rooms with activities for children:

And events for gamers:

Toronto Comicon continues through Sunday.
