‘Final Fantasy XVI’ Brings The Rising Tide DLC On April 18th

Square-Enix has been teasing a major update to Final Fantasy XVI for weeks now, and now the last DLC, The Rising Tide, comes to the game on April 18th. The Rising Tide will be available for $19.99, and takes place sometime during the main narrative, as a request from the Dominant of Leviathan asks Clive for aid. This brings Clive and his allies to the land of Mysidia, where they’ll gain a new ally and battle against the power of the Leviathan.

Also being added to the game is Kairos Gate, new end game content where players fight their way through 20 stages of increasing difficulty, upgrading Clive’s power between stages. Finally, a new free update is coming adding tons of quality of life features, including a “Quick Complete” function to automatically return to quest givers after finishing a quest, and customizable button layouts.

Fans looking for one last reason to come back to the world of Final Fantasy XVI will hopefully find it here. With the completion of this game, hopefully the PC version of this game isn’t too far behind.
