Previewing WizKids’ Vecna And Friends (And Foes)

by Anton Kromoff

Welcome to the table,

I love connected lore. There is something about having a working knowledge of the rules, major players, and important locations of a setting or mythology that makes it all feel more alive, more fun, and more immersive.

I don’t know what to expect with the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons book Vecna: Eve of Ruin. It feels as important as Spider-Man getting the black suit, Batman: No Man’s Land, and Avengers: End Game shifting and evolving the whole landscape of the worlds they are set in. In a purely speculative way, I feel like whatever is coming with this new Vecna book it is going to change things and whatever they change to, at least from what hints I have seen, I’m super excited about,

WizKids will be putting out the Vecna: Eve of Ruin miniatures. From what they have released so far, these things look so exciting!

These minis look fantastic. In the center, we have Vecna conjuring power magics with a winged crown, Tasha seems to be up at the top slinging a wand, and there is a Hellwasp, Barbed Devil, and maybe a Balor among others in the renders they have released so far.

At the time of writing this, there will be 40 minis in this set and you can pre-order them at this link.

Until next time, Miska The Wolf-Spider is also part of this set so I have no idea what else is going to be in this collection but as I learn more I will keep you up to date because I’m so invested in this set and can’t wait to see what else is coming.
