‘X-Force’ Strikes In First Round Of Variant Covers
by Tony Thornley
This July, Forge is going to fix the world. To do it, he’s going to lead the newest incarnation of X-Force as part of Marvel’s X-Men From The Ashes initiative.

As with any major series launch, the debut issue will feature variant covers from some of Marvel’s greatest artists. In this case, the three variants will come from some of the most well-known artists in the history of the X-Men and X-Force.
Team leader Forge takes center stage in Clayton Crain’s piece. Betsy Braddock and Rachel Summers spring into action from Mahmud Asrar. Team special guest star Deadpool teams with David Nakayama to bring a splash of color to the proceedings. And comics superstar, and X-Force veteran, Tony Daniel assembles the entire team, including Surge, Sage and the mysterious powerhouse known as Tank (he’s gotta be Colossus, right?).
The series will find Forge leading his team — including rotating guest star specialists — into some of the most difficult situations they’ve ever been in. Forge can fix anything, can he fix the world? That’s a question Geoff Thorne and Marcus To will answer for us .
Check out all four covers above, and watch for X-Force #1 this July.
