Scott Koblish Ends One X-Men Era And Begins Another In New Connecting Variants
by Tony Thornley
The X-Men are going through a renaissance. X-Men ‘97 is a massive hit on Disney+. Deadpool & Wolverine is Marvel Studios’ one and only film this year. And the Krakoan era is ending, while the From The Ashes era begins.
To celebrate, the conclusion of the Krakoa era will bridge with the From the Ashes era in a new pair of connecting covers from Scott Koblish. This massive pair of covers will include pretty much every mutant ever, continuing Koblish’s series of character packed covers.

As the Krakoan era ends X-Men #35 (by pretty much every major creator involved in Krakoa), From The Ashes begins with X-Men, Uncanny X-Men and Exceptional X-Men. The trio of series will be the backbone of the new X-Men line. The connecting Koblish covers will be featured on that final issue as well as the new #1’s from each new X-Men series, running from June through September.
Check out the connected version of the first two covers- for X-Men #35 and X-Men #1, not that it gets confusing- and watch for the full image shortly, and in your local comic shop.
