First Look: The Future’s Most Dangerous Sport Gets A New Player In ‘Ramgod’
by Brendan M. Allen
Massive Publishing, in partnership with Darkrose Studios has revealed a first look at Ramgod. The new cyberpunk comic series from writers Morgan Rosenblum and Owen Rosenblum, artist Canaan White, colorist Ren Spiller, and letterer Ismail Nihad will feature a dynamic high-octane sport inspired by the Fast & Furious franchise and Tron.

Clint Bowler is a troubled former star athlete turned NCPD Beat Cop who tries to balance his dueling responsibilities as a cop and a father. Despite his efforts, his teenage son, Malcolm, wants nothing to do with him. That is, until Clint sees a video of him chasing a perpetrator go viral, and he’s recruited by Malcolm’s favorite team in the world’s most dangerous sport, Ramgod,.
With a second shot at his dreams and a chance to find common ground with his son, Clint’s future is looking bright. But looks can be deceiving in New City. Clint’s new teammates have a nefarious side hustle that will force Clint to sacrifice either his newfound stardom or his morality. Either way, it’s a dangerous game.

“This is a story we’ve been working on for the last five years, a true passion project that features some of the best artists we’ve ever worked with. It’s got the perfect balance of action, plot twists, and heart.” says co-creator Morgan Rosenblum.
“We even created a brand new sport (Ramgod),” adds Owen Rosenblum, “which draws inspiration from the Roman Gladiator Games, Formula1 Racing, and Ninja Warrior. All in an adrenaline-pumping cyberpunk setting.”
Ramgod is slated to hit spinner racks in July 2024, and is now available for preorder at your local comic book shop and direct on Massive Publishing’s website. Check out the covers and preview pages below.
