Get A Look At Marvel’s Immortal Love In ‘X-Men The Wedding Special’ Preview

It’s the wedding that fans have been waiting for. Later this month, Mystique and Destiny make it official in X-Men: The Wedding Special #1.

It was subtext for decades. It was confirmed in the Krakoa era. The publisher has even made a few important retcons to go with it. Now in the remains of Krakoa, readers get to see the duo renew their vows with the entire Marvel Universe watching. Written by Kieron Gillen and drawn by Rachel Stott, the lead story will show Marvel’s first wedding between two women, as Mystique and Destiny renew their vows.

The special also will include:

· Betsy Braddock & Rachel Summers in an adventure by Excalibur scribe Tini Howard! Joined by rising star Phillip Sevy, the story finds the couple face to face with the Omniversal Majestrix, Opal Luna Saturnyne!

· Everyone’s favorite X-Couple take the spotlight writer Wyatt Kennedy and artist Jenn St. Onge show what kind of trouble the couple’s son-in-law can get into when Gambit is trusted as the ringbearer!

· Mystique & Destiny receive the gift of pre-marriage psychic counseling courtesy of Emma Frost! See how the inspiring love of two former villains holds up against a telepathic journey through some hard truths in this twisty tale by writer Yoon Ha Lee in his exciting Marvel Comics debut alongside acclaimed artist Stephen Byrne!
