Skybound Celebrates The Energon Universe’s First Year Anniversary With Interconnecting Variant Covers

Skybound/Image Comics and partner, Hasbro, have announced special interconnecting commemorative variant covers in June 2024 to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Energon Universe, which was kickstarted in Void Rivals #1 by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Lorenzo De Felici. These covers will be featured on all Energon Universe titles out that month.

Over the past 12 months, the G.I. Joe/Transformers franchise has grown in popularity with Transformers, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero spinning out into various miniseries like Duke, Cobra Commander and more.

All covers will be released throughout June on Destro #1, Scarlett #1, Transformers #9 and Void Rivals #10 and will feature two sets of open-to-order, connecting, full-art variant covers (one by artists Jason Howard and Annalisa Leoni, the second a B&W version featuring Howard’s art).
