Sony And Team Asobi Announce “Astro Bot” For PS5

To cap off Sony’s recent State of Play, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Team Asobi announced Astro Bot, taking the adorable mascot and giving him a full on, sci-fi adventure to himself!
Massively expanded compared to Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, the new Astro Bot game sends ASTRO across eighty different levels in search of ASTRO’s missing crew. To help him out, ASTRO has a host of new abilities that he’ll need to deal with the 70+ enemy types scattered throughout the game. True to the last game, there’s also tons of references to new and classic PlayStation IPs.
Astro Bot comes to PlayStation 5 on September 6th. Presumably, this rounds out Sony’s first-party titles for the year. It lines up with their statement that “nothing big” is coming in 2024, but also its nice that they’re expanding beyond the usual narrative-focused action games and getting back into platforming.
