WizKids Spreads The Name Of Taryon Darrington And The Darrington Brigade With ‘Critical Role’ Minis

Welcome to the table,
“Hello there, you, welcome!” Sam Riegel did something special when he had his character, the gnome bard Scanlan, storm off and leave the party in Campaign One of Critical Role. It was a moment that sent text messages and DMs spiraling throughout the fandom and left a lot of people wondering what the heck was going to happen next.
So when, all of a sudden, Sam is back at the table with this armored, well-spoken goofball and his tottling automation, I was legit delighted because I think Taryon “Tary” Gary Darrington is one of the best characters to come out of that table… and I am not even a super fan of goofy characters.
For a time our good boy Tary traveled with Vox Machina, before returning to his homeland in Wildemount to help with the recovery of the Darrington families less than stable financial situation. Tary decided that he would start a new charitable organization, the Darrington Foundation, and put together a team he called the Darrington Brigade, made up of misfits and wanders, to help “fight for justice, win battles against evil-doers, and spread the Darrington name.”
As in their way, my pals over at WizKids have put together a brilliant boxset that features some of the members of this most motley of crews pre-painted and ready to join your home game or take up an honored space on your miniature shelf.
The set features Sir Taryon Darrington himself; Doty, the automated companion and biographer of Tary; Farriwen Breeze, the air genasi monk; The Dark Owl, a human barbarian who calls himself The Owlbear in a very Batman sort of way; Damian Vadoma. the half-elf fighter; Buddy the oger fighter and often times combat platform for his pals; Hazel Copperpot, the dwarven bard; Macaroni Samsonite, the halfling cleric; and Lawrence Darrington, Tary’s loving husband.

Until next time, I love it when the side characters get more love and when WizKids goes out of their way to make minis you know they love you. This is such a fun set that pays service to the fandom in one of the best possible ways. 10/10
