DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal have epitomized and modernized the Heavy Metal Sci-Fi aesthetic. Now the the third installment of the series will take players back to a Metal-fueled medieval age. DOOM: The Dark Ages is a single-player action FPS that tells the epic cinematic origin story of the DOOM Slayer’s rage. Players take control of DOOM Slayer, the legendary demon-killing super weapon as he fights in a medieval war against Hell itself. The trailer shows off a gun the grinds up skulls and a mech piloting sequences to fight titanic enemies. Grimdark, over the top, and all kinds of fun, the DOOM series is video game escapism at its best!
