A Hero Stands Resurrected In October’s ‘Moon Knight: Fist Of Khonshu’ #1

Death is nothing but a nap of sorts when it comes to the heroes (and villains) of the Marvel Universe. Thanks to events in the current universal event Blood Hunt, it’s time for Marc Spector, the Moon Knight, to rise once more.
In the climactic pages of Blood Hunt #4, the tide was turned against the vampiric horde when Hunter’s Moon, Tigra, and their momentary ally Wrecker released the god Khonshu. Free of his Asgardian prison, the moon god unleashed an army of past Moon Knights upon the vampires, including the aforementioned Marc Spector.
Now that he’s resurrected, it’s the perfect time to launch a new series. Arriving in October is Moon Knight: Fist Of Khonshu #1, the latest chapter in the Moon Knight saga from Jed MacKay, Alessandro Cappuccio. A journey they began with 2021’s Moon Knight leading into the currently running Vengeance Of Moon Knight, a series that dealt with Marc’s death.
FULL MOON RISING! As an avatar and agent of the Egyptian God of the Moon, Khonshu, former mercenary Marc Spector has died and come back to life on more than one occasion. To the ignorant, his fate beyond death’s grasp may seem idyllic, but being chosen as a fists of Khonshu comes with a heavy cost! And, like bones in a street fight, Marc Spector, and the multitudes he contains, may be about to break!
Of the series, MacKay said, “The father, freed. The son, returned. Marc Spector, Jake Lockley, and Stephen Grant hit the streets once more as Moon Knight, and he’s making up for lost time.”
MacKay continued to state that the streets, naturally, have changed since Spector passed away and that he’s “excited to explore how he deals with all-new threats to his territory.”
Joining MacKay and Cappucio are their fellow Vengeance Of Moon Knight cohorts Rachelle Rosenberg and Devmalya Pramanik.
Comic shops were given variant editions of the surprise special issue Moon Knight: Fist Of Khonshu #0. An issue that follows up on the events of Blood Hunt #4 while setting up what comes next in the full series launch this fall. Copies of the issue can still be ordered for a July 03rd on-sale date.
Moon Knight: Fist Of Khonshu #1 will be available on October 16th.
