Breaking — ‘Hellboy: The Crooked Man’ Teaser Has Dropped!

I’m beyond excited about how this looks, sounds, is being acted, and the storytelling tone they seem to be using. As someone who’s so deeply rooted in the Hellboy lore and funny enough has roots in hill-folk Appalachian culture the whole thing feels so lived in and moody, I can practically smell the rain on the air.
Often it feels like big-budget movies like to frame heroes against world-ending threats. And, while I believe there are all sorts of reality-shredding horrors that dwell in those haunted hills that are older than record time, the tone of Hellboy: The Crooked Man just feels so much more like that insidious ground-level terror that I love.
Hellboy: The Crooked Man is written by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden and that team has created some of my favorite stories over the years so this feels like such a perfect duo to helm this Ketchup Entertainment project. It’s based on the Hellboy miniseries of the same name and while it’s the fourth live-action Hellboy film, at least from what I can tell from this teaser, this is the first that feels way closer to the smaller stories that I’ve always felt Hellboy works so well in. I’m also blown away as Jack Kesy looks phenomenal as Hellboy.
