Rogue Takes The Lead In ‘Uncanny X-Men’ #1 Trailer

In August, Uncanny X-Men returns for the first time in years. The X-Men are scattered all across the world, and Rogue is taking the lead of one of the teams as we see in a new trailer.
After the fall of Krakoa, the X-Men are no more. Rogue, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Wolverine and Jubilee soon find themselves reunited in New Orleans. They’re going to be big damn heroes, as the first trailer and preview pages show.
The series comes from superstars Gail Simone and David Marquez. The series launched on August 7th, and is the second of the new X-Men line’s three flagship books.
“The shadows of the giants who have worked on this book are all over the landscape, and it gets a little emotional to think about,” Simone shared. “Everyone has an X-Man they feel speaks to them directly. There’s no other franchise like it in comics. It’s an honor and a thrill and a panic, all at once. My first idea was, I want to lay out a welcome mat for all readers: new, returning and lifelong. They deserve the best mutant stories I can give them. I want to focus on the humanity, no pun intended. Big action, big personalities.”
