The Turtles Return To 3D Brawlers With ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed’
by Sage Ashford
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles make a return to the world of video games, this time in the popular Mutant Mayhem universe, thanks to aheartfulofgames and Outright Games‘ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed. Once again, the kid turtles team up to protect New York City from a band of mutants, this time in a 3D brawler
Set after the recent movie, Mutants Unleashed aims to embrace the Mutant Mayhem characters including some of the side characters, with April, Master Splinter, and more making an appearance in the game. Players can enjoy either flying solo or working with friends in two-player co-op as they battle foes during the dangerous New York nights.
Mutants Unleashed looks like more than the usual movie tie-in cash grab, especially since this is releasing a full year after the launch of the film. Hopefully it can become another cult classic game and give fans a bit more of that Mutant Mayhem universe.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed launches October 18th for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Steam, and Nintendo Switch at $39.99.
