I’ve always been a fan of Batman. He’s not just this weirdo that dresses up as a bat and kicks people off rooftops. In the larger meta of it all, he seems to show up in my life in a meaningful way when things are going sideways and I need a bit of a reminder who I am. I didn’t fully grasp the significance of those books until much later, but at that moment, the art and story anchored me and set me back on my path. Batman has always had a way of doing that for me… centering me and getting me back into the game of life.

Until next time, New 52 Batman really did set me on a solid path. It helped rekindle my sense of wonder and along with bringing me back to other Batman stories I loved it also helped me reacclimate to my local community and meet new friends. It really was a cool moment in my history and I am grateful for it.
