Groot Causes The Apocalypse In First Look At ‘Marvel Zombies: Dawn Of Decay’

He may be one of Marvel’s most lovable heroes, but this fall Groot unleashes the ultimate horror. In Marvel Zombies: Dawn of Decay, one little action will cause the end of the world.
Coming from television writer Tom Krajewski and artist Jason Muhr, the series will find Groot recovering from a small cold on Earth. The horror is unleashed though when he sneezes into Captain America’s face. That one action could doom the world as Cap, the Avengers and other Marvel heroes are transformed into plant based zombies!
The story will find Groot teaming up with Bruce Banner to fight through the infected hordes. Their only hope is to reach Banner’s lab and try to synthesize a cure. Can the duo save the world, or will the stress release the Incredible Hulk on their infected friends and allies?
Even if I’m myself not a huge fan of the Marvel Zombies franchise, I can appreciate this series. Doing a new take on the franchise every couple of years keeps it fresh, and allows the publisher to keep something in publication for when the new Marvel Zombies TV show hits.
