Director Park Hoon-jung is known for creating pitch black thrillers. I was blown away by his work on The Witch: Subversion as well as Night in Paradise. The Tyrant appears to be a spiritual successor of sorts and I eagerly anticipate was he has in store. Park Hoon-jung is a unique creative voice who deserves a hit that reaches a Parasite or Squid Game level of success.
