Image Comics To Release Gerry Duggan’s ‘Timing/Luck’ Photography Book

Writer Gerry Duggan (X-Men, Dead Eyes) is also something of a shutterbug on the side with ho very own photography book Timing/Luck, which he had previously successfully crowdfunded. And now that limited edition book will be made available to purchase in comic book stores and online.

Shot using – on the whole – a Leica digital 28mm and Fuji X100 35mm, “the photos of Timing/Luck capture a mash-up of dark streets, bright minds and green rooms featuring portraits and candid shots of famous comic book creators, comedians, writers, actors, musicians, and filmmakers. Some of the subjects include: Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, Stan Lee, Mark Hamill, Todd McFarlane, Robert Kirkman, Eric Stephenson, Marc Silvestri, James Tynion IV, Brian Posehn, Kevin Feige, Vita Ayala, Jason Aaron, Rick Remender, Matt Fraction, Chip Zdarsky, Jeff Lemire, Tini Howard, Skottie Young, John McCrea, Jock, Leah Williams, Brian K. Vaughn, Christopher Priest, Charles Soule, G. Willow Wilson, Brian Azzarello, and Declan Shalvey, amongst many others.”

Speaking of this book, Duggan stated:

“Timing/Luck is a visual autobiography of my time in Los Angeles as the worlds of comics and Hollywood began to overlap. It’s been my privilege to work with so many talented artists and travel the world in support of the work. After the successful crowdfunding effort on the limited edition, I’m proud to publish the softcover at Image Comics, my longtime home for creator-owned collaborations.”

The trade paperback edition of Timing/Luck, will be aouton Wednesday, November 6th in comic book stores and iin book stores on Tuesday, November 19th from Image Comics.
