Jill Thompson’s ‘Scary Godmother’ Get’s The Compendium Treatment

Image Comics is to release Jill Thompson’s Scary Godmother collection of stories as a compendium trade paperback edition. As an added bonus it will include all-new Scary Godmother stories. And to help celebrate the news we get a preview of some very sumptuous lovingly crafted pages from this new collection.

Debuting originally in 1997 to critical acclaim, Scary Godmother has won Eisner Awards in “Best Title for a Younger Audience” and “Best Painter/Multimedia Artist (Interior)” categories, and was adapted into two animated children’s films titled, Scary Godmother: Halloween Spooktakular and Scary Godmother: The Revenge of Jimmy. The series was also included in The Spectacular Sisterhood of Superwomen: Awesome Female Characters from Comic Book History by Hope Nicholson.
