by Tony Thornley
This fall, Marvel and Capcom reunite to bring a collection of arcade classics back to your favorite video game systems. To celebrate, Marvel is releasing some of the series’ iconic artwork as new variant covers.

If you’re a millennial geek like me, Marvel Vs. Capcom and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 were integral parts of your young geek life. This fall, the two iconic studios are reteaming to bring those two iconic games, as well as others such as Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter and more, back to consoles in Marvel Vs Capcom: Fighting Collection- Arcade Classics. This series was responsible for a lot of comic sales after Marvel’s infamous bankruptcy, as well as making an entire generation of comics fans wonder why Blackheart and Shuma-Gorath were not that big a presence in the Marvel Universe.
In December, Marvel will be featuring the iconic concept art of Bengus, the designer responsible for the look and feel of the games. Their art will be featured on 11 different covers, headlined or featuring the characters in each piece.
Check out all 11 pieces in the gallery above and watch for your favorites in December from Marvel Comics.
