New Horror Film ‘Daddy’s Head’ Headed To Shudder In October After Making Its Debut At Fantastic Fest

by David Lewis

Genre specialist streaming site Shudder will bulk up its Halloween offerings by adding the debut the new horror film Daddy’s Head in October. It marks the latest effort from British writer-director Benjamin Barfoot, (2017’s horror-comedy Double Date).

After his father’s sudden death, a young boy (Rupert Turnbull) and his stepmother struggle to adjust to their new life together. Soon, the boy comes into contact with a creature in the woods that bears a striking resemblance to his late father, although no one will believe him. Is dad really back from the beyond, or is it something more sinister? Daddy’s Head also stars Julia Brown, Charles Aitken, and Nathaniel Martello-White.

Before arriving on Shudder, Daddy’s Head will make its world premiere on Sunday, September 22nd at the South Lamar location of the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas as part of this year’s Fantastic Fest. A second screening will take place there on Monday, September 23rd.

Daddy’s Head will make its streaming debut on Shudder on October 11th.
