Earpers Rejoice! Wynonna’s Story Continues With Audible’s ‘Wynonna Earp: Tales From Purgatory’

Earpers — the fans of Wynonna Earp — have a lot to celebrate these days. Not only is today the debut of the 90-minute Wynonna Earp: Vengeance special on Tubi, but Audible also announced late yesterday that Wynonna and her family will be making their way to audio drama courtesy of the platform.
Wynonna Earp: Tales from Purgatory is describe as an “immersive, multicast audio production” written by series executive producer Emily Andras. The series’ stars also return with Melanie Scrofano as Wynonna Earp, Tim Rozon as Doc Holliday, Dom Provost-Chalkley as Waverly Earp, and Katherine Barrell as Nicole Haught. Additionally, Varun Saranga comes back as Jeremy Chetri, Dani Kind reprises Mercedes Gardner, Martina Ortiz Luis is, once again, Rachel Valdez, and it wouldn’t the extended cast without Greg Lawson as Randy Nedley.
The audio drama picks up with Wynonna and her soulmate, Doc Holliday, on the open road in search of the promised land: Dollywood. But when the road to Tennessee proves bumpier than expected, the couple end up sharing stories of Purgatory as they both serve as narrator (and rumor monger). But most importantly, it means Earpers get to hear about what some of the other people in Purgatory have been up to since the television series ended.
In fact, we just saw a Twitter post wondering about Rachel and her current whearabouts.
“I’m thrilled to be stepping into the character of Wynonna again so soon for this new Audible Original,” Scrofano said in a statement. “Fans are in for a treat because by working exclusively in audio, we’re exploring sides of Wynonna and Purgatory that we couldn’t always show on screen. It’s like unlocking a whole new dimension of the Wynonna Earp universe.”

Scrofano continued: “The best part is, Earpers don’t have to wait very long for even more of the characters they love, and we can’t wait for them to experience it.” Indeed, Wynonna Earp: Tales from Purgatory debuts on Audible October 17th.
