One of the most frustrating things about finding new comics to read and enjoy is finding a good jumping on point. It can be confusing and disheartening to pick up a single issue from the middle of an arc without having the context of the previous chapters.
With that in mind, here are a few New Story Arcs, Series Premieres, and One-Shots that caught my eye for this upcoming New Comic Book Day, Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

The Masked Macher #1, Dark Horse
In the 1930s, aspiring actor Tony Hollywood is looking for his big break. He gets the shot of a lifetime, but pure, rotten luck lands him a flat on the way to the audition. He happens to break down outside a wrestling arena, which leads to his landing a completely different kind of role, as the Masked Macher!
No one knows what a “macher” is, but the gig pays.
The Graveyard Club #1, BOOM! Studios
