Dynamite Announces A ‘Powerpuff Girls Winter Snowdown Showdown’ For December

Get ready for an epic snow day.

Dynamite announced Thursday the imminent arrival of The Powerpuff Girls: Winter Snowdown Showdown. The 28-page one-shot comic courtesy of writer Daniel Kibblesmith and artist Carlo Cid Lauro.

The holiday season in the city of Townsville means a time fun, ice skating, baking, and more. For Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, it also means finding Professor Utonium the perfect gift. Of course, that is easier said than done as he can manufacture almost anything he desires. But in their quest to be good gift-givers, they will learn about “playing fair, respecting boundaries, and considering other.”

“The Powerpuff Girls isn’t just one of my favorite shows of all time, it’s one of the best ideas in the history of fiction,” Kibblesmith said in a statement. “I also loudly love the holidays and joking about the holidays (people have noticed and give me holiday assignments) so any fans of classic Powerpuff Girls comedy and action, kids and their parents, and any sentimental animated Christmas special lovers need to check this out!”

Supporting the special issue will be covers from Lauro, Cat Staggs, and Francesco Tomaselli.
