‘Unknown 9: Awakening’ Gets An Overview Trailer

Bandai-Namco Entertainment and Reflector Entertainment have released a new “overview” trailer for Unknown 9: Awakening. It’s perhaps the best glimpse of the game yet, providing information on its protagonist Haroona, her world, and what looks to be much-improved combat from the previous trailer.
The back half of the trailer discusses the larger world of Unknown 9, developing in other mediums ranging from podcasts to novels. Turning a relative unknown (pun not intended) into a massive cross media property seems like a stretch, but who knows.
Delayed earlier in the year, Unknown 9 does look better than ever…but it remains to be seen if that’ll be enough. October is one of the toughest spots of the year to release games, even with a major game like Assassin’s Creed: Shadows being delayed into next year.
Unknown 9: Awakening launches October 18th for Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
