WizKids Adds Iconic ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Heroes To Their ‘Icons Of The Realms’

I downloaded Baldur’s Gate 3 early and played it a few days before it launched in retail shops. PlayStation was doing something with an early release, and I had a weekend I just wanted to unplug. It made total sense that I would just sink into a game for a few hours before returning to the desk to get back to work on one publish project or another.
When I looked up, two days had passed, and a ton of work that needed to be done had not been done yet. I think the reason for this is that A, I love Dungeons & Dragons in the same way Wonka loved Candy, and B, the game is filled with so many compelling characters and story threads that I did not even start to feel bored with it until well into Act 3.
With such iconic characters, it makes sense my pals at WizKids are putting out an Icons of The Realms set of minis that showcases 7 of these iconic entities who made up the supporting cast of the game.
These sculpts are brilliant, and include all the fan favorites including Astarion, Karlach, Gale, Shadowheart, Wyll, Lae’zel, and my main man Withers. There is a part of me that knows the moment I unbox these to put them on my shelf my wife is going to ask which one is my sexy boyfriend. I swear the stranglehold that the bear scene had on TikTok was unhinged!
Regardless of where you land on romancing or not in-game, I am strongly in the not romancing department, I have dragons to slay and loot to loot, and I did grow really attached to the undead lich lord Withers and his helpful, and sometimes ominous, guidance. It also helped that unlike some other undead in my party <Looking at you vampire boy> he did not try to eat me in the middle of the night.
