Skybound Reveal A Gallery Of Variant Covers For ‘The Walking Dead Deluxe’ #100

by Olly MacNamee

In celebration of the milestone issue Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard’s The Walking Dead Deluxe #100, Skybound has revealed its rather impressive lineup of variant covers for this anniversary issue. As well as the main cover by series artist Adlard, with colours by series colourist Dave McCaig, there are seven more covers to look out for by artists David Finch, Mattia De Iulis, Julian Totino Tedesco, Arthur Adams, Yasmine Putri, Simon Bisley, and Derek Hunter, as well as a blank sketch cover. Plus, there will be an exclusive variant cover that homages the original Bloody Lucille Skybound Exclusive by Adlard, released in 2012 with added red spot foil logo and spot gloss on the bloodied Lucille. Preorders are open now on the Skybound store, and purchases are limited to two per order.

“The “Something to Fear” arc continues here! This extra-sized chapter contains one of the darkest moments in Rick Grimes’ life, and one of the most violent and brutal things to happen within the pages of this series—finally in color!”

Co-creator, Kirkman, said of this of the reprint issue:

“How many comic book series have had the honor of reaching issue 100? Now tell me how many have had the fortune to do that twice! Holy moly, I’m just blown away by the level of support our fans have gifted us with year after year. What an incredible ride this continues to be. If you’re not experiencing this deluxe presentation of the series, featuring glorious color from the master Dave McCaig, you’re really missing out.”

The Walking Dead Deluxe #100 is out on Wednesday November 6th from Skybound/Image Comics
