NYCC 2024: ‘Marvel Contest Of Champions’ Announces Most Exciting Original Character And More

Marvel Contest of Champions not only reinvents popular characters from the Marvel Universe, but it also develops some playable originals. At New York Comic Con, the hit mobile action game announced its latest entrant into the Contest, which is part of 10-year anniversary celebration.
Isophyne is described as “the most exciting original character ever!” She is a living ISO-sphere whose sole purpose is to protect The Battlerealm from invaders and intruders, including all the kidnapped Champions. With the new character comes a fundamental change to the power mechanic. The character features an exclusive Eidol gameplay mechanic called the fractured power bar that allows her to bend The Battlerealm to her will and determine which special action to use.
Isophyne isn’t the only addition to Marvel Contest of Champions. Coming this year are the mutant Dazzler, and the top lieutenant of the alien Mojo, the multi-armed Spiral. The former brings her signature light attacks while the latter brings tons of brutality.
Finally, with Venom: The Last Dance hitting theaters soon, it would only make sense that the symbiote would be featured. Venom is receiving a new and improved design. The rework will be more intricately detailed compared to his original 2015 model making him fiercer in the arena.
