NYCC 2024: New ‘Creature Commandos’ Trailer Drops

Strap in because I’m double delighted! Max has released the official trailer for the Creature Commandos animated series and it’s exactly what I was hoping it would be! This thing is written and executive produced by James Gunn, who let this preview fly during a panel hosted at the 2024 New York Comic Con.
The series is set to be seven episodes and debuts Thursday, December 5th on the Max streaming service. We will get a new episode weekly all the way to January 16th of 2025.
It’s monsters and a Nazi-killing robot fighting all sorts of random nonsense in the DCU. It’s like someone said, “Let’s go make a show for Anton.”
The cast is pretty great touting such talents as Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot & Weasel, David Harbour as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as The Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. We also get Steve Agee as John Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, and Anya Chalotra as Circe.
I’m all in. This show has the making to be something wild and weird and scratch all those itches that books like Next Wave: Agents of H.A.T.E. or shows like Venture Brothers always hit.
