‘The One Hand’ And ‘The Six Fingers’ Get Collected By Image Comics In One Volume
by Olly MacNamee
Two interconnecting miniseries from Image Comics, The One Hand (by writer Ram V, artist Laurence Campbell, and colourist Lee Loughridge) and The Six Fingers (by Dan Watters, artist Sumit Kumar and Loughridge) are to be collected together in one volume thus December. It will feature ten alternating chapters, “creating a brand-new reading experience for those looking to solve the mind-bending, neo-noir mystery”.

Here’s what each series is about, starting with The One Hand:
“The One Hand miniseries… tells the story of Neo Novena detective, Ari Nasser—a grizzled homicide detective who’s about to retire with an enviable record, until a brutal murder occurs bearing all the hallmarks of the “One Hand Killer”…which should be impossible since Ari already put him away not once but twice in years past.”
As for The Six Fingers, here’s the plot for that one:
“The story follows Neo Novena archaeology student, Johannes Vale, who has always been so very in control of his life. But when he commits a brutal murder using the M.O. of a historic and notorious serial killer, everything begins to spiral out of control…and Johannes doesn’t remember doing it.”
And…
“What follows is a deadly cat-and-mouse game told through two intertwined narratives. Both men will stop at nothing to unravel the secrets and ciphers of this case—but each revelation only leads further into the dark heart of this future-metropolis.”
Here’s Ram V’s statement about this unique approach to storytelling and this subsequent collection:
“We set out to run upon untrodden ground with these twin stories, trying to tell a third truth in their reading. It’s a cat and mouse story with an entirely different sort of chase in between. I hope readers will enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it!”
Watters added:
“The idea with The One Hand & The Six Fingers was to create two mysteries which interweave and entangle to reveal a third mystery in the negative space between them. It’s one of the most ambitious projects I’ve ever been a part of, and one of the most rewarding, as I think we pulled it off. A book born of two creative teams, a fear of the future, and buckets of blood.”
The One Hand & The Six Fingers, which collects The One Hand #1-5 and The Six Fingers #1-5, will be available on Wednesday, December 11th in comic book stores and in book stores on Tuesday, December 24th from Image Comics.
