‘Something Is Killing The Children’ #0 Sells Out Before Release

by Tony Thornley

Few creator owned comics in the last decade have become the phenomenon that Something Is Killing The Children has. Now, the Boom! Studios hit has had a critical issue sell out before even hitting the shelves.

The team here generally loves SIKTC. It’s been a unique entry in the horror-heavy creator owned landscape. And there’s no denying that James Tynion IV, Werther Dell’Edera, and team have created one of the most engrossing shared universes in comics today.

Something Is Killing The Children #0 is out this week, and has sold out at the distributor level. That means be sure to grab it off the shelves, because when it’s gone, it’s gone.

The issue details a crucial mission in Erica’s past, the brutal hunt preceding her arrival in Archer’s Peak in issue #1. It ends with Erica walking out of the woods to meet a little girl waiting by a red wagon–now Tynion and Dell’Edera take you back to where it begins.

Something is Killing the Children #0 is a landmark issue for the series, a story that brings us all the way back to Erica’s first appearance in Something is Killing the Children #1 and recontextualizes everything that happens afterwards.” said series co-creator and Eisner winning author James Tynion IV.

“The response to this special issue of Something Is Killing The Children has been incredible,” said series editor Ramiro Portnoy. “Issue #0 was a passion project for all of us here, and is sure to become a highly sought after issue as we move into the next five years of the Slaughterverse!”

If you’re a fan of the series, make sure to watch for it. Something Is Killing The Children #0 is available now in print from your favorite comic retailer, and via all your favorite digital comics sources.
