Dark Horse Books Announces ‘The Writer’ Direct Market Edition Featuring A Cover From Mike Mignola

Dark Horse Books has announced that Josh Gad, Ben and Max Berkowitz, Ariel Olivetti, and Frank Cvetkovic’s four-issue comic series The Writer will be collected for the first time in Spring 2025. A tale of heroism, magic, folklore, and the thrilling power of the written word, the story will be collected in two new formats: a Direct Market Edition and paperback edition. 

Both collect all four issues of The Writer and include a cover gallery and sketchbook section. The Direct Market Edition will be exclusive to comic shops, featuring a new cover illustrated by the legendary Mike Mignola.

The Writer Direct Market Edition and paperback edition will both be available in comic shops and bookstores on April 22nd, 2024.
