It’s Love And Chemical X In February’s ‘The Powerpuff Girls Valentine’s Mwah Mwah Kissy Face Special’

The Powerpuff Girls are facing another holiday in their own unique way.
Dynamite announced on Thursday the February release of The Powerpuff Girls Valentine’s Mwah Mwah Kissy Face Special from writer Paulina Ganucheau and artist Savanna Ganucheau.
With Christmas in the rear view, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup face their next calendar crisis: Valentine’s Day and the annual card exchange at school. And just to add some more pressure, Blossom gets heart eyes for a boy in class. Now, “every scenario from the trivial to the terrifying is colored by her swooning” and the others must adapt to it. But will a daring new scheme by Mojo Jojo end up part of her twitterpated worldview? It’s all wrapped up in a 40-page Powerpuff special.
And, yes, Savanna Ganucheau is Paulina Ganucheau‘s sister, making the characters and the title a family thing.
“This has been a lifelong dream of ours to collaborate on a comic issue!” Savanna Ganucheau said in a statement. “Add PPG into the mix, it couldn’t be anymore perfect.”
Paulina added, “It’s true. We’ve been drawing and making up stories about the Powerpuff Girls together since 1998. This was foretold in the stars.”
The special will be supported by covers from each Ganucheau and a third by Nicoletta Baldari.
The Powerpuff Girls Valentine’s Mwah Mwah Kissy Face Special lands in comic shops this February.
