Gift Guide For Gamers 2024: Marvel HeroClix Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Calendar

Holiday themed gifts are often very polarizing for me. For example, let’s say you gift someone a Santa statue that is holding a “December is for Lovers” sign and riding a reindeer with a plug in cord thing for your Christmas tree. They open that hypothetical item on the last day of the holiday it is touting, and then that particular item won’t really get use until a year has passed.
It was a great sentiment. I believe any gift you are given you should be thankful for, but also it’s not something you can do much with the other eleven months of the year.*
However, sometimes a holiday themed gift make total sense to me, and one of those cases is WizKids’ Marvel HeroClix: Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Calendar.
Why this works is three fold. It’s holiday fun but you can use the minis year ’round. Guardians of the Galaxy fans who get this but have not played Clix are going to have a reason to try their hand at the game.
HeroClix fans who may not field Guardians themed Clix are going to have 12 new minis to drop on the table. Also, people who just like opening stuff and getting little plastic painted figures are going to have fun popping open the windows of this box set and finding what they get every day.
The versatility and fan appeal of this, along with the holiday theme and the “open one each day for 12 days” functionality really makes this a rad little gift box.
