ICYMI: Look Up At This Tease For The ‘Superman’ Teaser

Generally, teases for teaser trailers aren’t our thing. But this is Superman.
The teaser trailer for James Gunn‘s new Superman film debuts tomorrow, but just take a look at the video above with its handful of glimpses of the film and feel the sensation of flight. In fact, that first shot of Superman (David Corenswet) flying is the whole reason we’re bringing this to your attention.
Okay, we’ll be honest, as we’re partial to the original 1978 Superman, the use of that film’s typography and John Williams‘ score makes us all the more ready for Gunn to get this right.
Also seen in the trailer: a beautiful shot of the Daily Planet building, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and the Planet newsroom reacting to … something. Is it Superman’s first flight or the main threat issuing their demands? Perhaps tomorrow’s teaser will offer more clarity on that front. In the meantime, we want to believe a man can fly again and this brief video is fuel for that wish.
Superman flies into theaters on July 11th.
