Toy Fair — ‘Magic: The Gathering/Marvel Spider-Man’ Swings Onto The Scene

North American International Toy Fair 2025 kicked off Saturday in New York, and my friendly neighborhood pals at Wizards of the Coast have revealed more about the Magic: The Gathering/Marvel Spider-Man team up!
My first preview of this highly anticipated set was back in October of 2024 and today the fine folks at MTG have showcased some of the signature Spider-Man style that will be coming to the table!
Releasing globally September 26th, the spectacular packaging art and product lineup is going to bring some seriously amazing Spider-Man themed play to the MTG hobby. Just look at that connected full card art above! There is a team in the bullpen over here at Comicon.com that loves classic collectable cards. We often talk about these sets and I can tell you first hand even the non-gamers on our team are excitedly talking about this sets release. There was more chatter on our coms channels on a Saturday than I have seen in a long time and that speaks volumes about why these kind of collaborations are so great. The blending of things in the pop culture space brings people together and our fantastic comic reviewers, like Tony Thornley, Scott Redmond, and Austin Gorton, may not roll dice and flip cards as regularly as your favorite gaming and collectable journalist does, but they sure as heck were cheering as we discussed the news out of Toy Fair about this particular collaboration.
The set has some rad looking box art for Welcome Decks as well. These are Mana Color themed with Classic Spider-Man showcasing White Mana, Miles Morales showcasing Green Mana, Venom showcasing Black Mana, Spider-Gwen showcasing Red Mana, and Spider-Man 2099 showcasing Blue Mana. I can’t wait to see how these welcome decks play at the table.
The booster bundle is even going to have a Spider-Man themed d20 life counter that will 100% get use at my Dungeons & Dragons table whenever Phase Spiders and Ettercaps are about.
