Mark Waid Chronicles The ‘New History Of The DC Universe’ In A Four-Issue Series

If anyone is going to do a good job of chronicling the newest DC timeline, then it’s writer Mark Waid. He will be teaming up with a whole host of artists to bring you the four-issue New History of the DC Universe. A look at the past, present and future of the DCU through the eyes of Barry Allen. The debut issue features art by Jerry Ordway and Jerry Ordway, starting with the birth of the DC Universe to the rise of the Justice Society and the Golden Age of Heroes.

New History of the DC Universe #1 will feature a main cover by artist Chris Samnee, and variant covers by artists Dan Mora, Ryan Sook, Mike Cho, Scott Koblish (connecting wraparound variant cover) and Stanley “Artgerm” Lau.

Waid, a huge DC nerd, said of this project:

“This is my dream project. It’s a chance to realign all of DC’s sprawling continuity into one master timeline, and to be joined by some of comics’ greatest artists to make it shine. With new information for even longtime fans, plus Easter eggs galore, this series will be an essential read for DC fans.

Nauck added:

Jerry Ordway concluded:
