Impossible Man Causes Chaos In New Marvel Comics Variant Covers

by Tony Thornley

He’s one of the Fantastic Four’s silliest foes, and in May, he takes over books from all over the Marvel Universe.

Impossible Man is a shape changing alien from the planet Poppup. Debuting in Fantastic Four #11, he’s one of the oldest antagonists in the Marvel Universe. Known for his chaotic, quippy nature, he’s always a character that’s a lot of fun to see show up in a story (I avoided the obvious pun there).

In a new series of variant covers in May, Impossible Man jumps into the middle of the Marvel Universe. Some of the covers are homages to famous works, others are just a little big of delightful chaos. Either way, it’s a blast to see such an underappreciated character get something like this centered around him.

Check out all ten covers, featuring work by David Baldeon, Logan Lubera, Michele Bandini, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Ron Lim, Nic Klein, Pepe Larraz, Joshua Cassara, David Marquez and Valerio Schiti.
