WonderCon 2025: McFarlane Toys Reveals Including New ‘TMNT’ Line

Todd McFarlane returned to WonderCon this year, and this time, he was a special guest. This past weekend, the comic creator took part in multiple panels including his own spotlight as well as appearing on one with Jim Lee. In addition, he co-hosted the McFarlane Toys panel showcasing various future products arriving this summer and beyond. (We’ll also have an interview with him tomorrow!)
One of McFarlane Toys biggest licenses is for DC Comics. Here’s a look at several different lines. First we take a look at the 7IN Ultra Articulated Action Figures that include Superman (New 52), Mister Miracle, Sandman, Azrael (Knightquest), and Cyborg Superman (The Return of Superman).
We then have two lines in the McFarlane Collector Edition. The first includes Hawkgirl, Guy Gardner, Mr. Terrific, and Superman (Strange Lives of Superman). The other has Dark Archer, Darkstars, Beast Boy (Bronze Age), Kite Man, Mirror Master, Metron, and Deathstroke (Classic).
The Theatrical Deluxe Edition has close resemblance to their cinematic versions. The most recently revealed roster comes from Batman Returns and includes Batman, The Penguin, Catwoman, and Max Shreck. Also included are Penguin Commandos, which were initially planned to be the Build-A-Figure, but are now their own separate thing.
Page Punchers are a special package that includes a figure and a comic book. Arriving this summer are Mr. Bones (Infinity Inc. #16), Superboy (The Return of Superman), and Wonder Woman (Wonder Woman #1). That Mr. Bones guy looks very similar to another famous comic character made by the ToddFather.
McFarlane Toys Digital is fairly new which allows collectors to not only own a physical version of an action figure, but also a digital version. Those who enjoy these toys will be excited to see Batman (No Man’s Land), Batgirl (Stephanie Brown), Monarch, and Nightwing (Bronze Age) coming soon.
From Batman: The Animated Series will be Batman (Classic), Grey Ghost, Ra’s Al Ghul, and Killer Croc. The Build-A-Figure is Jonah Hex.
For those who prefer a more retro look, the Super Powers collection might be for you. This summer, Animal Man, Cyborg, Deadman, and Nightwing arrive.
One of McFarlane Toys more recent licenses revolves around Mortal Kombat. From the Mortal Kombat Klassic collection are individual figures for Sub Zero, Scorpion, Liu Kang, and Kitana. There will also be multipacks available, the first of which will have Mileena and Sub Zero. The multipack will consist of the figures, accessories, a backdrop from the video game, and two stands.
There was one Marvel reveal from the panel. It is a Spider-Man 1:10th scale posed PVC statue. He comes in his traditional red and blue costume and the darksymbiote costume.
From McFarlane’s own Spawn universe is Bloodaxe (Spawn: The Dark Ages) with his steed. There will also be a special variant exclusive version that can be found at GameStop.
One of the more exciting announcements is that McFarlane Toys now has the license for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, at least for the comic versions from IDW. This figures are tentatively scheduled to come out fall of 2025.
